The Influential Visitors Programme (IVP), is targeted at States Parties whose draft implementing legislation has already been considered by their relevant ministries and stakeholders, but which require the necessary political momentum in order to advance its passage.
The IVP brings influential visitors from States Parties to the OPCW Headquarters for a three-day programme. It includes a systematic follow-up to their visit through regular high-level contacts and demarches, and possible return visits by the Secretariat to their State Party.
The Secretariat intends to host two IVP visits in 2019.
