Objective

The objective of the forum is to share lessons learned and best practices in online capacity building programme. 

The forum also aims to identify needs, gaps and suggestions on the new platform for the new approach of OPCW capacity building programme after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The programme is designed for representatives of African Member States.

Content

The provisional programme includes the following components:

  • Session 1: Revitalized OPCW Capacity Building Programme for Africa.
  • Session 2: Lessons Learned and Best Practice of Capacity Building
    Programme on Chemical Safety and Security through Online Platform. The objective of this session is to provide a platform to highlight key elements, share lessons learned and best practices, as well as to discuss needs, challenges and issues related to the online capacity building programme.
  • Session 3: Chemical Industries Perspectives in Knowledge Transfer and Information Sharing on Online Capacity Building Programme. The objective of this session is to provide a platform to highlight trends and gaps in online capacity building programme, and to discuss the benefit and challenges in online learning compared to classroom setting.
  • Group Discussion: Needs, gaps and suggestions on the new platform for the new approach of OPCW capacity building programme after the Covid-19 pandemic.
