This training is an integral part of the capacity building programme in assistance and protection for the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Member States.
This VTTX is aimed at member states from the Economic Community of West African States Member States.
Aims:
The main focus of this VTTX will be on operational and procedural issues of international assistance and consequence management in the case of a major chemical incident, in the light of the relevant OPCW decisions and policies on response to chemical weapons use and the provision of assistance.
Its objective is to exercise operational frameworks, policymaking, communication and information sharing, at national, regional and international levels, in order to ensure effective response and facilitate the provision of international assistance in case of chemical incidents.
