The Hague, 4 October 2013: At a meeting of the OPCW Executive Council held on 3 October 2013, Director-General Ahmet Üzümcü informed that the OPCW Technical Secretariat has received information from Syria that was additional to the disclosure on its chemical weapons programme which Syria submitted on 21 September. The additional submission is being reviewed by the OPCW. The Director-General is expected to provide an update to OPCW Member States when he addresses the 74th Session of the Executive Council that begins on Tuesday 8 October.
