Visiting the OPCW
At its headquarters in The Hague, the OPCW regularly provides briefings to visiting groups on its mission and work to implement the Chemical Weapons Convention. In 2016, OPCW staff members have voluntarily delivered 59 presentations to about 1,300 visitors who are security professionals, educators and students, lawyers and judges, as well as government and military officials from across the globe.
Briefings can be tailored to specific areas of interest, and subject to availability, can also be provided in one of the official languages of the Organisation (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish and Russian).
In addition to receiving a briefing, visiting groups have the opportunity to visit the OPCW’s conference room; and view the Nobel Peace Prize medal, which was awarded to the OPCW in 2013 for its extensive efforts to eliminate chemical weapons
