Covid-19 Measures

The current measures in place against Covid-19 for the conduct of events in the Netherlands require a Covid entry pass check to enter any conference venue. This includes the World Forum, the venue which is hosting the 26th Session of the Conference of the States Parties. 

Covid entry pass required to enter the Conference venue  

To access the Conference venue, you will need to show a Covid entry pass, with proof of vaccination, a negative test result, or proof of recovery. 

 

Covid entry pass required 

A Covid entry pass is required for all personnel requiring access to the Conference venue: 

  • Delegation representatives 

  • International organisation representatives 

  • Chemical industry representatives 

  • Non-governmental organisation representatives 

  • Media representatives 

  • Technical Secretariat employees 

  • World Forum GL employees 

  • Contractors, vendors, and suppliers 

 

All vaccinations recognised for diplomatic personnel  

By means of exemption, the Host Country has agreed to recognise all Covid-19 vaccinations administered by any official vaccination system for the purpose of facilitating official meetings of international organisations.  

To obtain access to the Conference venue with proof of vaccination, an electronic or paper certificate must be presented at the Conference venue check-point which states: 

  • vaccine type and manufacturer 

  • number of doses received 

  • date of vaccination 

  • name of issuing national authority 

An English translation is requested to facilitate the verification of documentation. 

This exemption is limited to diplomatic personnel of delegations of OPCW Member States.  

 

What is a Covid entry pass? 

A Covid entry pass is digital proof that a person has either: 

  • been vaccinated against Covid-19 

  • received a negative test result, or 

  • recovered from Covid-19. 

For access to the Conference venue, a QR-code must be shown.

Free rapid testing at the Conference venue 

If you do not have a Covid entry pass, you will need a negative test result to enter the Conference venue. 

Free rapid antigen testing will be available at the World Forum Conference venue during the duration of the Conference.

Testing procedure 

The testing procedures takes approximately 20 minutes to complete including registration, testing, and waiting for the result. Testing services are provided by professional health company authorised by the Government of the Netherlands, Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport. 

Negative test result 

Upon receipt of a negative test result, you will be able to generate a QR-code in the CoronaCheck app, or receive a paper certificate containing a QR-code.  

This QR-code is valid for 24 hours and will give access to the conference venue as well as to other establishments in the Netherlands, such as restaurants.  

The CoronaCheck app is available for iPhone and Android devices. 

Positive test result 

In case of a positive test result, you will not be given a Covid entry pass, and will not be allowed to enter the Conference venue. You will be advised by the testing staff of the health guidelines provided by the Government of the Netherlands.
