OPCW Director-General Expresses Condolences at the Death of Ms Benazir Bhutto

Ambassador Rogelio Pfirter, the Director-General of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) expressed deep shock and sorrow at the tragic demise of Ms Benazir Bhutto, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Director-General Pfirter said that he “strongly condemned the terrorist attack that ended her life and caused the death of other innocent people”. He expressed his condolences and sympathies for the families of the victims and “solidarity with Pakistan, a State Party to the Chemical Weapons Convention, and its people in this difficult hour for the country”.
