Participants at the Emergency Response Exercise on Assistance and Protection

Emergency Response Exercise on Assistance and Protection, held from 15 to 17 July 2015 was jointly organised by the Technical Secretariat and the Government of Kazakhstan.

The training was the third and closing stage of training cycle held for Russian speaking first responders with basic and advanced courses held in Republic of Belarus in June 2015. The full training cycle was funded from generous contribution by the European Union.

Nineteen participants from following 11 States Parties took part in the exercise: Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Cuba, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, and Vietnam.

The main aim of the exercise was to confirm the knowledge and skills acquired by the participants including the proper use of individual and protective equipment, reconnaissance, detection, sampling and analysis as well as rescue and decontamination techniques, and emergency planning received by participants during the training cycles.
