Permanent Secretary of Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Visits the OPCW

H.E. Mr Georgi Dimitrov, the Permanent Secretary of Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visited the OPCW yesterday and met with the Director-General, Ambassador Ahmet Üzümcü.

The Director-General updated the Permanent Secretary on the implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), including progress in destroying chemical arsenals globally and in the mission to eliminate Syria’s chemical weapons programme. The Permanent Secretary commended the OPCW for its work and reaffirmed Bulgaria’s commitment to the CWC and continuing support for the OPCW.
