The Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, Mr. Durga Prasad Bhattarai, visited the OPCW Technical Secretariat in The Hague yesterday for a meeting with Director-General Ahmet Üzümcü and other senior staff.
The Director-General commended Nepal for its continued support to the OPCW and updated the Secretary on its activities. He highlighted preparations for the Third Review Conference in April 2013 and stressed the importance of broad participation by States Parties in the process. In response The Secretary reaffirmed Nepal’s continuing commitment and support to the OPCW and assured the Director- General of its willingness to help ensure a successful outcome for the Conference.
