Science for Diplomats

Diplomats looking at 3D projections of enzymes in a Science for Diplomats briefing on biomedical analysis.

We need to remain alert to the fact that the dynamism of science can both improve and potentially undermine our ability to maintain an effective disarmament regime.

For this reason, we must look at science and technology as a priority in our work, actively engage with scientific experts and ensure that policymakers use scientific insights in their decision making.

To stimulate more effective engagement with our stakeholders on S&T issues, the Secretariat has initiated a series of "Science for Diplomats" presentations.

Presentations and materials from these events are provided for download here.
