Estado de la Participación en la Convención sobre las Armas Químicas

Los Estados Miembros de la OPAQ representan ya cerca del 98% de la población y de la masa terrestre del planeta, y el 98% de la industria química mundial. La OPAQ ofrece apoyo a todos los Estados no Partes en la CAQ para que puedan prepararse y sumarse a ella, y así poner en práctica de forma eficaz la prohibición mundial de las armas químicas. Históricamente, es la organización internacional de desarme que más rápido crece. Las Naciones Unidas han exhortado a todos los Estados a sumarse a la CAQ y librar así al mundo de la amenaza que plantean las armas químicas para la seguridad internacional.
