A senior delegation representing the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran visited the OPCW today. The delegation led by H.E. Mr. Kazem Garib Abbadi, Deputy Secretary General of the High Council for Human Rights for International Affairs and International Judicial Cooperation of the Judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met the OPCW Deputy Director-General, Mr Hamid Ali Rao, at the Organisation’s Headquarters in The Hague.

The Deputy Director-General briefed the delegation on the work of the OPCW and latest developments. The discussions also highlighted the crucial role and responsibilities of States Parties in implementing the Chemical Weapons Convention.

The Deputy Director-General thanked the Iranian government’s continuous support and contributions. The Iranian delegation showed keen interest in the OPCW and expressed its continued support to the work of the OPCW.
