Sudan Congratulates the OPCW on its Tenth Anniversary

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Entry into Force of the Chemical Weapons Convention and the founding of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), the Foreign Minister of the Republic of the Sudan, H.E. Mr Dr Lam Akol Ajawin, sent the following congratulatory message to the OPCW and its Director-General, Ambassador Rogelio Pfirter.

“On the occasion of the Tenth anniversary of the Entry into Force of the Chemical Weapons Convention and the founding of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, it gives me great pleasure to extend my warmest congratulations for the dedication and significant achievements under your leadership and the efforts to promote cooperation between States Parties for the realization of the goals of the Convention. It provides a special occasion to renew the commitment of the Republic of Sudan to the objectives and purpose of the Convention, and its wish for a peaceful world free of Chemical Weapons, and indeed of all Weapons of Mass Destruction.”
