Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Congratulates the OPCW on its Tenth Anniversary

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Entry into Force of the Chemical Weapons Convention and the founding of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, H.E. Mr Nyamaa Enkhbold sent the following message to OPCW Director-General, Ambassador Rogelio Pfirter:

“I wish to extend my heartfelt congratulations to you, Mr Director-General, on the occasion of the Tenth Anniversary of the Chemical Weapons Convention and the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

Mongolia appreciates the ongoing work of the Organisation to achieve the objective and purpose of the Convention, ensure the full implementation of its provisions, and foster international cooperation for peaceful purposes in the field of chemical activities of the States Parties.

Let me take this opportunity to express our Government’s sincere appreciation for the Organisation’s continued contribution to the capacity-building of our national staff, in particular the significant support the OPCW lent to the organization of the National Seminar on the Practical Implementation of the CWC held in Ulaanbaatar in August 2006”.
