Head of Qatar’s National Committee for the Prohibition of Weapons Congratulates OPCW on its 10th Anniversary

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Entry into Force of the Chemical Weapons Convention and the founding of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), H. E. Brigadier-General Nâsir Muhammad al-’Ali, Head of Qatar’s National Committee for the Prohibition of Weapons sent a congratulatory message to the OPCW and its Director-General, Ambassador Rogelio Pfirter.

In his message Brigadier-General Nâsir Muhammad al-’Ali stated “On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the entry into force of the Chemical Weapons Convention, the National Committee for the Prohibition of Weapons has the pleasure of congratulating you on your great achievements allowed by the Convention in controlling import and export of hazardous chemicals. Please be assured of the support by the State of Qatar, represented by the National Committee for the Prohibition of Weapons, to all the activities relating to the Convention, and to its reinforcement in the future.”
