Media Accreditation Closed

Media Accreditation for the Fourth Special Session of the Conference of the States Parties (CSP-SS-4) is now closed.

Media granted accreditation will receive a confirmation from OPCW Public Affairs.

Media organisations and representatives cannot be accredited through Embassies or delegations.

Public and Private Sessions of the Conference

The Conference will be held as a public meeting that is open to accredited individuals only on 26 June and as a private meeting on 27 and 28 June. In the private session only States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention and invited International Organisations may attend. Note: At the request of a State Party, deliberations may enter classified mode where only States Parties may participate.

Organisation Details at Conference

All accredited media representatives will require a conference badge to gain access to public Conference sessions, both at the World Forum and at OPCW Headquarters.

Badges will be issued, upon presentation of a valid ID, at the registration desk from 9:00 on Tuesday, 26 June at the World Forum. Badges must be worn visibly at all times while on the Conference premises.

Limited space for cameras and sound equipment (breakout sound boxes) will be provided in the plenary hall of the Conference. Should camera arrangements be needed at other times or locations during the Conference, media representatives are asked to contact OPCW Public Affairs Branch.

Please note that some States Parties may indicate that their National Statement is not public. Members of the media are asked to abide by this request.

Media representatives are requested to take the seats located on the sides of the plenary hall. The central seats are reserved for official delegations.

Webcast

Those unable to attend may follow the public sessions of the Conference on 26 June via live webcast on www.opcw.org. This webcast feed is free of copyright and free to use and distribute.

Interview Requests

Due to the Director-General's schedule, we are unable to accommodate interview requests.

Media representatives should contact delegations directly if interested in interviewing other officials.
