Invitation for submissions.

In a multilateral, multinational disarmament organisation, several issues of debate are evolving simultaneously and with equal vigor. Synthesis, the quarterly publication of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, should reflect that vibrancy.

In the coming editions of Synthesis, the editorial board would like to invite articles on a wide range of topics: The effort towards universal adherence to the CWC, issues to be considered during the Review Conference in May 2003, issues dealing with the conceptual aspects of the CWC, as well as issues related to the practical implementation of the CWC.

Articles that enhance the understanding of the CWC will be considered for publication. In particular, Member States and disarmament professionals are encouraged to provide articles of up to 1,500 words in length. The editor and the editorial board reserve their right of approval. Abstracts are encouraged. Manuscripts will only be returned if the contributor so requests.

The upcoming submission deadlines are:

15 May, 15 July, 15 September and 15 November.

Manuscripts can be forwarded to:
