Minister of Foreign Affairs of FYR Macedonia Visits the OPCW
H.E. Mr Antonio Milošoski visited the Technical Secretariat in The Hague on 20 November 2009
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the FYR of Macedonia, H.E. Mr Antonio Milošoski, visited the Technical Secretariat of the OPCW in The Hague on 20 November 2009 where he met with the OPCW Director-General, Ambassador Rogelio Pfirter.
In their meeting the Foreign Minister commended the OPCW for its achievements in implementing the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) and reaffirmed his country's firm support for the Convention and for the work of the Organisation. He extended an invitation to the Director-General to visit the FYR of Macedonia.
Director-General Pfirter expressed his gratitude to Foreign Minister Milošoski for the support. He provided the Foreign Minister an update on the status of implementation of the Convention, including the destruction of global chemical weapons stockpiles, and underscored the OPCW’s achievements as a success for multilateralism.
