Areas of discussion included international schools in The Hague, regional train transport, the Hague Security Delta, further development of The Hague’s International Zone, and the city’s bid to be named the European Capital of Culture for 2018, inter alia. Also discussed were ideas for joint outreach activities to raise public awareness in the Netherlands about the Chemical Weapons Convention and work of the OPCW, particularly in schools and universities. The Mayor and his team agreed to have the municipality join in celebrating the OPCW’s 15th anniversary by staging a special exhibit at City Hall.
