Participants at a Course on Assistance and Protection against Chemical Weapons in Serbia

The 10th International Basic Course on Assistance and Protection Against Chemical Weapons was held at the Serbian Armed Forces CBRN Training Centre in Kruševac from 2 to 6 June 2014. The course was attended by 17 participants from 14 States Parties.*

The opening ceremony was attended by the Training Command Deputy Commander, Major General Mladjen Nisevic, the CBRN Training Centre Commandant, Lt. Colonel Ph.D Ivan Lazarevic, and the OPCW Director of International Cooperation and Assistance, Mr Mark Albon.

The course programme combines theory and practical sessions in the areas of protection, detection and identification of toxic chemicals, decontamination, and training in the use of personal protection equipment in field conditions.
