Internship opportunities in the Media and Public Affairs Branch of the OPCW Technical Secretariat
The Media and Public Affairs Branch (MPB) is responsible for informing the public about the OPCW's activities and maintains the Internet website.
As an intern, you will actively participate in one or more projects, including contributing content to the OPCW website; enhancing the catalogue of publications; developing an e-newsletter; and creating multimedia content. For more details about projects, please contact MPB.
You will be able to develop practical skills, expand your professional portfolio, make professional contacts, and work in a unique international organisation devoted to disarmament.
Eligibility requirements
You must be:
- Enrolled in a university, or equivalent tertiary institution, both when you are applying to the programme and during the internship, or have graduated in the previous twelve months to when you apply;
- A citizen of a Member State of the Organisation; and
- Fluent in both written and spoken English. A good working knowledge of one of the other official languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is highly desirable.
Duration/working hours
You may set the duration of the internship based on your availability, from a minimum of 2 months to a maximum of 1 year. The actual hours to be worked will be agreed between you and your supervisor, and shall not exceed 40 hours per week. For your convenience, you may work from a remote location and check in on-site with your supervisor from time to time.
