DECISION

ATTENDANCE OF NON-SIGNATORY STATES

AT THE SPECIAl SESSION OF

THE CONFERENCE OF THE STATES PARTIES

to review the operation of the chemical weapons convention

(first review conference)

The Conference of the States Parties,

Bearing in mind Rule 30 of the Rules of Procedure of the Conference of the States Parties,

Hereby:

Decides to extend observer status to the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya and the Republic of Angola, States not signatory to the Chemical Weapons Convention, at the Special Session of the Conference of the States Parties to Review the Operation of the Chemical Weapons Convention (First Review Conference), in accordance with Rule 30 of the aforementioned Rules of Procedure.
