NOTE BY THE DIRECTOR-GENERAL

ANALYTICAL STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES (SOPs)

FOR ON-SITE USE

1. By means of the Note by the Director-General, S/119/99, dated 11 June 1999, the Technical Secretariat announced that the first set of analytical standard operating procedures (SOPs) for on-site use was available to interested Member States.

2. The Director-General wishes to inform Member States that the following additional analytical on-site SOPs are now available upon request:

(a) Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Preparation of Aqueous Samples On-site for GC/MS Analysis, Version 3;

(b) Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Preparation, Storage and Use of Decontamination Solutions I and II, Version 3;

(c) Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Pierce Reacti-Therm Heating Module and Reacti-Vap Evaporator, Version 2;

(d) Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Jouan Centrifugal Evaporator
RC 10-22, Version 2;

(e) Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Buchi Vacuum System B-178, Version 2; and

(f) Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Bransonic Ultrasonic Cleaner, Version 2.

3. Additional SOPs, as well as their revisions, will be made available to Member States once they have been approved by the Director-General.
