Postponement of the Technical Workshop on the Development of Electronic Tools for National Authorities to support CWC Declarations in a common electronic format

On 21 December 2001, the Secretariat announced the convening of a Technical Workshop on the Development of Electronic Tools for National Authorities to Support Chemical Weapons Convention Declarations in a Common Electronic Format.  This workshop was scheduled to take place on 28 February 2002 (S/283/2001). The objective of the workshop was to introduce National Authorities to a software package designed to assist them in preparing and submitting declaration data due under Article VI of the Convention.  In order to allow more time for such an electronic package to be developed and tested, the Secretariat is postponing the holding of the workshop.  The new date will be announced in due course.
