NOTE BY THE EXECUTIVE SECRETARY

REQUEST FOR DATA ON TYPES OF INFORMATION TO BE CONTAINED IN A POSSIBLE DATABASE TO BE ESTABLISHED UNDER ARTICLE XI

1.         The Commission during its Eighth Session requested the Secretariat to prepare a study by collecting information, especially from interested Member States, on the types of categories of information that could be included in a database to facilitate the exchange of information relating to economic and technological development in the field of chemicals, taking into account the availability and cost of existing databases for relevant purposes.

2.         The Secretariat would appreciate receiving from interested Member States, preferably before 4 November 1994, data to be used as a basis for the requested study. Delegations of Member States are requested to direct this information to the Technical Cooperation and Assistance Division.
