PROPOSED DATES OF PLENARY SESSIONS FOR 1995

Following open-ended informal consultations held in The Hague on 21 September 1994, the following dates are proposed for the Sessions of the Commission for 1995:

10th Session 3 - 7 April 1995

11th Session 24 - 28 July 1995

12th Session 11-15 December 1995

Part I of the 1995 Programme of Work and Budget provides for three plenary Sessions in 1995, and Part II of the said Budget provides for the extension of one of these Sessions by an additional week.

It is suggested that a summer recess of the Commission, without intersessional work, should commence on 31 July 1994 and last for three weeks. It should be noted that it is current practice to have one week clear of meetings after each Session of the Commission. This proposal involves an extension of by two weeks.

Any decision taken at this point in time should be subject to the understanding that, when 65 ratifications are reached during 1995, this schedule may have to be reconsidered.
