EXPERT GROUP ON INSPECTION PROCEDURES
NOTE FROM THE CHAIRMAN
1. The Expert Group on Inspection Procedures was tasked by the Commission at its Seventh Session (Annex to PC-VII/8) to consider proposals concerning verification-related equipment, prepared by the Secretariat for inclusion in the draft 1995 Budget, in particular with regard to the proposed quantities of items to be purchased, any proposed new types of equipment and the proposed timing of procurement.
2. The results of the Group's discussions are summarised in the attached table and are forwarded to the Expert Group on Programme and Budget for their consideration.
INSPECTION EQUIPMENT
Notes
1. The "Unit Cost" column shows the estimated cost per item in 1993 for budgetary purposes.
2. The "Approved for 1994" column shows the number of units currently allocated funds for purchase during 1994.
3. The "Revised Phase I", "During Phase II", and "After EIF" columns show the number of units determined by the Expert Group on Inspection Procedures as being required to be purchased during Phase I, Phase II and the first 6 months after EIF.
4. The "Procurement" column provides an estimate of the likely delivery time for each item of equipment. It makes no allowance for the time required by the Organisation to place a firm order.
