NOTE BY THE EXECUTIVE SECRETARY

TRUST FUND FOR COURSES FOR PERSONNEL OF

NATIONAL AUTHORITIES

1.         In accordance with Financial Regulation 6.5, the Executive Secretary herewith informs the Commission that a Trust Fund for Courses for Personnel of National Authorities has been established.  The purpose of the Trust Fund is to assist in funding the costs of courses for personnel of National Authorities.  The first contribution in the amount of USD 9,991 was received from the Government of Norway in December 1994.  In a letter to the Executive Secretary dated 7 March 1995, the Government of Canada undertook to contribute CDN $20,000 to this Trust Fund.  Further contributions are expected to be received from other Member States.

2.         The Executive Secretary will report to the Commission on the transactions in this Trust Fund Account in accordance with the Financial Regulations and Rules and will also, as provided for in Financial Regulation 6.6, administer this Trust Fund in accordance with the Financial Regulations and Rules.
