DECISION

REQUEST BY THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

FOR APPROVAL TO USE A CHEMICAL WEAPONS PRODUCTION FACILITY (AMINOMERCAPTAN PRODUCTION) AT OJSC “KHIMPROM”, NOVOCHEBOKSARSK,

FOR PURPOSES NOT PROHIBITED UNDER THE CONVENTION

The Conference of the States Parties,

Upon the recommendation of the Executive Council at its Thirtieth Session
(EC-30/DEC.1, dated 11 September 2002),

Hereby:

Approves the request to use the chemical weapons production facility (aminomercaptan production) at Open Joint Stock Company “Khimprom” in Novocheboksarsk, Russian Federation, for purposes not prohibited under the Convention.
