DECISION

REQUEST BY THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

FOR APPROVAL TO USE A CHEMICAL WEAPONS PRODUCTION FACILITY (FILLING OF MUSTARD GAS AND LEWISITE MIXTURE INTO MUNITIONS)

AT OJSC “KHIMPROM”, VOLGOGRAD,

FOR PURPOSES NOT PROHIBITED UNDER THE CONVENTION

The Conference of the States Parties,

Upon the recommendation of the Executive Council at its Twenty-Fifth Session
(EC-XXV/DEC.5, dated 28 June 2001),

Hereby:

Approves the request to use the chemical weapons production facility (Filling of mustard gas and lewisite mixture into munitions) at Open Joint Stock Company “Khimprom” in Volgograd, Russian Federation, for purposes not prohibited under the Convention.
