DECISION

REQUEST BY THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

FOR APPROVAL TO USE A CHEMICAL WEAPONS PRODUCTION FACILITY (LEWISITE PRODUCTION, SECOND TRAIN)

AT OJSC “SIBUR-NEFTEKHIM”, “KAPROLAKTAM” PLANT, DZERZHINSK

FOR PURPOSES NOT PROHIBITED UNDER THE CONVENTION

The Conference of the States Parties,

Upon the recommendation of the Executive Council at its Twenty-Eighth Session
(EC-28/DEC.7, dated 22 March 2002),

Hereby:

Approves the request to use the chemical weapons production facility (lewisite production, second train) at Open Joint Stock Company “Sibur-Neftekhim”, Kaprolaktam plant, in Dzerzhinsk, Russian Federation, for purposes not prohibited under the Convention.
