DECISION

 COOPERATION WITH INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATIONS

The Conference of the States Parties,

Recalling that Article VIII, subparagraph 34(a) of the Convention provides that the Executive Council shall conclude agreements or arrangements with States and international organisations on behalf of the OPCW, subject to prior approval by the Conference of
the States Parties;

Recognising that the effective implementation of the Convention can be facilitated by cooperation between the OPCW and other international organisations;

Hereby:

Gives its approval that the Executive Council consider and conclude the negotiated texts of cooperation agreements between the OPCW and other international organisations, as may be required for the effective implementation of the Convention.
