NOTIFICATION OF

THE THIRD SESSION OF THE CONFERENCE OF THE STATES PARTIES

1. In accordance with Rule 2 of the Rules of Procedure of the Conference of the States Parties and with the decision of the Conference of the States Parties at its Second Session (paragraph 19 of C-II/8, dated 5 December 1997), the Director-General hereby notifies all Members of the Organisation that the Third Session of the Conference of the States Parties will take place in The Hague from 16 to 20 November 1998.

2. Pursuant to Rule 12 of the Rules of Procedure of the Conference of the States Parties, the Executive Council will draw up the provisional agenda for the Third Session of the Conference of the States Parties at the Eleventh Session of the Executive Council, to be held from 1 to 4 September 1998. The provisional agenda will be circulated to all Members of the Organisation when it has been drawn up by the Executive Council.
