NOTE BY THE DIRECTOR-GENERAL

PROVISIONAL AGENDA OF THE THIRD SESSION

OF THE CONFERENCE OF THE STATES PARTIES

1. In accordance with Rule 12 of the Rules of Procedure of the Conference of the
States Parties the Director-General hereby submits the provisional agenda of the
Third Session of the Conference of the States Parties as drawn up by the
Executive Council at its Eleventh Session (subparagraph 18.8 of EC-XI/2,
dated 4 September 1998).

2. Should the Director-General receive, by 17 October 1998, any request under Rule 14 of the Rules of Procedure of the Conference of the States Parties for the inclusion of a supplementary item on the agenda of the Third Session of the Conference of the
States Parties, any such item will be placed on a supplementary list which will be circulated to members of the Organisation not later than 26 October 1998.
