USE OF THE RECOGNISED REFERENCE DATUMS FOR DECLARATIONS

The Conference

Recalling that the Commission, in its PC-XIV/29, paragraph 9.4, adopted the recommendation contained in subparagraph 7.2 of PC- XIV/B/WP.5 that States Parties should use one of the 107 recognised reference datums for their declarations when they are required to declare the geographical co-ordinates of a facility, and that States Parties should state in their declarations which reference standard they had used.

Bearing in mind that the Commission recommended in paragraph 53.2 of its Final Report that the Conference adopt the above mentioned recommendation,

Hereby:

1. Adopts the above-mentioned recommendation.
