APPROVAL OF ARRANGEMENTS MADE BETWEEN THE OPCW

AND THE STATES PARTIES FOR THE INSPECTION OF

CW DESTRUCTION FACILITIES

DURING THE TRANSITIONAL PERIOD

The Conference

Recalling that the Commission, in its PC-V/12, subparagraph 6.6(e), adopted the recommendation that, during the transitional period (Verification Annex Part IV (A), paragraphs 50 and 51), arrangements made between the OPCW and the States Parties for the inspection of CW at chemical weapons destruction facilities should be approved by the Executive Council,

Bearing in mind that the Commission recommended in paragraph 49.1.9 of its Final Report that the Conference adopt the above mentioned recommendation ,

Hereby:

1. Adopts the recommendation regarding the approval, by the Executive Council, of the arrangements made between the OPCW and the States Parties for the inspection of CW at chemical weapons destruction facilities, during the transitional period.
