Membership of the OPCW
The Latin American and Caribbean Group
The Latin American and Caribbean Group has 31 Members. In addition, 2 Signatory States of this region have not yet deposited their instruments of ratification.
Barbados deposited its instrument of accession to the Convention on 7 March 2007. The Convention will enter into force for it on 6 April 2007.
The Group designates seven members of the Executive Council and, together with the Asian Group, a further member. From 12 May 2005 to 11 May 2006, the following are the Member States of the Latin American and the Caribbean Group to the Executive Council: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Uruguay.

* This grouping is unofficial and is based on the listing in the United Nations Handbook 1995 which takes into account UN General Assembly Resolutions 1991 (XVIII) of 1963 and 33/138 of 1978. The groupings are under review and will be updated based on the situation prevailing on the ground in the context of the OPCW in the near future but will remain unofficial till a decision is reached on this issue at the United Nations in New York.
