The Asian Group

The Asian Group has 48 Members as at 25 January 2006. In addition, 2 Signatory States of this region have not yet deposited their instruments of ratification.

The Group designates nine members of the Executive Council and, together with the Latin American and Caribbean Group a further member. From 12 May 2005 to 11 May 2006, the following are the Member States of the Asian Group to the Executive Council: China, India, Iran (Islamic Republic of), Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka.
